Workshop Description
This two hour distance learning course focuses on the verbiage and approach when finding the connection between the healing process of the body and mind with a Chronic Pain client/patient (specifically a Scoliotic).
Outline
1. Defining Scoliosis and Manual Cueing.
2. How to use the bodies of both the practitioner and the client to teach a new movement pattern.
3. This new approach will gift the ability to feel a straight spine and mirror the movement.
4. How to "Check-In" with all of the parts of the body to negotiate the emotional side of Chronic Pain as it relates to Scoliosis. Combining both the emotions and the physical sides of pain creates a heightened awareness of healing.
Course Objectives:
1.Introduce the Mirroring Technique and how it began.
2.Define Scoliosis and the physical challenges that come along with it.
3.Define the Central Nervous System (CNS) and how it plays into Scoliosis.
4.Define Mirroring and how it assists the CNS with re-educating the body.
5.Explore the use of Manual/Tactile Cueing.
6.Define Internal Family Systems and the new conversation it brings to the table.
